For the purpose of this agreement ‘The Home Style Directory‘ AKA ‘The Magazine’ and ‘The Überbook,’ The Uberbook,’ ‘The Journal,’ ‘The Home Style Directory Directory Index,’ ‘Directory,’ ‘The Home Style Directory Members Division,’ ‘The Home Style Directory Affiliate Members,’ ‘DIY Tutorials,’ ‘Style index,’ ‘T R B G,’ The Caucus’ The Bloggers Caucus’ ‘The Karma Army’ ‘us’ ‘our’ assisted Member sites such as ‘Caesar And Valerie’ ‘Simple Humble’ and any other aliases, Groups, members of The Home Style Directory Groups and clearly direct or indirectly related name titles are one and the same. All our related and assisted sites, groups, companies and platforms enjoy blanket copyright to The Home Style Directory and it’s owners whether stated or not stated.
For the purposes of this agreement, ‘Members’ or ‘members’ refers to any person registered to any of The Home Style Directory platforms.
For the purpose of this agreement ‘disclaimer notice’ and ‘Terms And Conditions’ are treated as one and the same.
For the purpose of this agreement ‘listing’ is the same as ‘user content’. ‘User content’ also refers to any comments or input made by a site visitor.
Using The Directory / Directory Index / Membership Program/The Überbook
You may use The Home Style Directory Directory Index to add, amend and/or update a listing, or information (user content), solely on the terms and conditions of this Agreement and where the listing, information or member portal is being run as self uploading.
The Home Style Directory Directory reserves the right to reject any material which it deems inappropriate, unsuitable or mismatched to the prevailing style or standards. Full payment for paid listings or paid coaching or paid work or other must be received prior to going live or commencement of work, unless otherwise specified. All Directory or The Überbook entrants, Members and users must adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
As a condition of membership The Home Style Directory requests you place a The Home Style Directory or a The Überbook badge on your own website as or if instructed. An icon with html code and full directions may be provided in the welcome email or Dashboard information or at any point in the relationship. To maintain standards, Directory members will be emailed if necessary with a request to review and update their listings. Your listing will not be made live or will remain in pending status until your profile is considered ‘fully dressed,’ that is, with images and well written text about you or what you have to offer your/our readers.
All User Content must:
(a) be complete, factual and accurate
(b) be supplied in the manner and format specified
(c) not be of a nature likely to bring The Home Style Directory into disrepute and
(d) comply with all relevant laws, regulations, standards and relevant industry codes.
We assume no responsibility for the accuracy of information provided on the The Home Style Directory / Directory / The Überbook or any of our platforms.
We assume no responsibility for user uploaded content and are happy to remove incorrectly uploaded content upon request by the proven owner.
You must not:
(a) use The Home Style Directory Directory to add or amend a listing where you do not have the express authorization to do so
(b) upload, post, transmit, publish or otherwise make available any accessible content that you do not have a right to make available under any law, regulation, rule or code or under contractual or other legal relationships
(c) upload, post, transmit, publish or otherwise make available any false, misleading, inappropriate, libelous, profane, defamatory, abusive, threatening, obscene, pornographic, indecent or unlawful accessible content;
(d) infringe the intellectual property rights of others or
(e) breach a law including, without limitation, any law that restricts advertising of a profession
(f) submit any user content protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right, or other intellectual property, personal, contractual, proprietary or other right owned by a third party without the express permission of the owner of the respective right. You are solely liable for any damage resulting from your failure to obtain such permission or from any other harm resulting from user content that you submit.
If any of the information in your listing changes, becomes out of date, or no longer complies with this agreement, you must:
(a) immediately amend your listing so that it complies with this agreement;
We reserve the right to withhold/delete a live listing without prior notice, paid or unpaid until the user or listing complies with said agreement. If additional work is created to re-list a deleted listing the member may be charged a compensatory rate.
The Home Style Directory Directory / The Überbook has the right to edit, alter, delete, move or share any material, such as listings or comments (AKA user content). By submitting user content to us, you automatically grant to us:
(a) a worldwide, fully-paid, royalty-free, non-exclusive, fully sublicensable, and transferable right and license to use, reproduce and distribute the user content (in whole or in part) as The Home Style Directory, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate. We may exercise this grant in any format, media or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any copyright that may exist in such user content.
(b) subject to the rights and license under these Terms of Use, you retain all your right, title and interest in your user content submissions. This means that copyright in your user content will remain with you and that you can continue to use the material in any way, including allowing others to use it.
You acknowledge and agree that by posting user content onto The Home Style Directory / Directory / The Überbook, or sending it to be posted on your behalf that if you have indicated that you are the owner or representative of the content, business, blog, group or event, you consent to being contacted (on an ongoing basis) via any of the contact details contained in that user content, including (without limitation) where such contact involves receiving information about products or services which we think may interest you from The Home Style Directory.
We reserve the right to display advertisements in connection with your user content and to use your user content for advertising and promotional purposes.
We reserve the right to remove or refuse to accept or upload images or videos that are inconsistent with the prevailing quality and style of our websites or the other images and videos present at any time.
The Überbook (specifically):
A number of complaints regarding a product may lead to removal of said product and notification to the seller/store concerned. Providing the issue is not the store itself the store concerned can simply use another product in that vacated placement.
A paid Directory Profile Page term is deemed as ongoing. We are at liberty to alter the parameters of this term at any time but with a minimum guarantee of one year.

Paid Subscriptions
You are free to terminate any paid subscription from any of our services or Groups at any time. We do not refund for digital or downloaded products.
Consultation, Design and Tech Services
Every consultation requires backroom work by the consultant, designer or technician in order to appraise the task ahead. For this reason, once the consultant, designer or technician has been booked and paid for, refunds for the first hour are not available. Refunds may be returned for the second hour onwards if multiple sessions have been booked in advance.
Proactive Membership
The Home Style Directory reserves the right to terminate any Member relationship deemed to be unproductive, inconsistent with a Community ethos and / or non beneficial to either parties. The Member concerned may be contacted once or less than once to try to rectify any issues, following which a one month window will be triggered leading to termination if the situation is not satisfactorily resolved in the opinion of The Home Style Directory.
Dashboard Profile
Amounts calculated in the Members Dashboard Profile for affiliate payments or other are deemed final across all used currencies. The Member may inform The Home Style Directory of any perceived discrepancies and The Home Style Directory may review any of these notifications at their discretion.
Using Our Design Services
Our graphics team will undertake the maximum of two trial passes at their discretion for a paying client when designing logos, ads or other artwork. It is incumbent on the client to express clearly what they want, like or don’t like upfront and during the process by providing clear visual examples of their requirements. The first stage of consensual agreement is via a pre-agreed written brief from the client, which in place of a signature must come from the client’s recognized email address or a website form from any of our platforms containing the client’s email address and details, stating written acceptance of any terms that have been highlighted for additional consent in the negotiation process. The second stages being any follow up emails from the same address. We will, in those passes, aim to recreate the clients vision. If we fail to do so within those two passes in the opinion of the client, we shall call a halt to the job and providing the original brief has not been followed, refund half the design fees. In the event that the original brief has been followed, the designer will retain all their fees. These options are precluded from non paying Members. There will be no obligation to conform to the requirements of a non paying member or casual user of our services. The client can also opt by prior written agreement to hand the artistic side completely over to our graphics team to generate the ad, logo or other artwork using their discretion and experience. Once artwork has been sent to the client they have 7 days from the send date to inform us of any corrections needed (as opposed to new design work), or the work will be signed off as complete and finished.
When designing promotional material for Members, a lack of high resolution, high quality images may place limitations, at least to some extent, on the options available to us when planning to support a Member with promotional assistance. In these instances it may not be possible to complete the work.
Members Division (specifically):
Service Orders
When a Member orders a Service and the order is dependent upon an action from the Member to complete they will have 7 days to complete the action needed, following which the job will be closed. The Member will be refunded a percentage of their payment based and determined on work or admin done thus far by us.
If the Member would still like the service to be carried out they simply make a fresh order.
If a Member is late in providing us with whatever is needed to complete their order, but within the time frame stated above, they risk their order delivery being delayed as it it may then have to be re-scheduled at the bottom of a busy list and perhaps more than once.

Affiliate Program
By participating in The Home Style Directory Affiliate Program AKA Affiliate 47, You agree to all the Terms and Conditions. As an Affiliate Partner AKA Affiliate Member, you are expected to act with honesty, comply completely with all relevant laws
All Affiliate Members must be over 18 to participate. The Home Style Directory reserves the right to accept or refuse or terminate any Member at any time at their discretion. The Home Style Directory reserves the right to cancel pending commissions based on inappropriate behavior or marketing by the Affiliate Member and to amend this Agreement at any time without notification to Affiliate or other Member.
The Affiliate Member may also be immediately removed from any and all promotions and Affiliate Programs (and will be in violation of this Agreement) if, at the sole discretion of The Home Style Directory, the Affiliate Member’s marketing:
a) contains unlawful material, including but not limited to materials that may violate another person’s intellectual property rights, or links to a site that contains such material;
b) contains information regarding, promotes or links to a site that provides information about or promotes illegal activity;
c) promotes, depicts or links to material that promotes or depicts discrimination based on race, gender, religion, national origin, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or age;
d) contains, promotes or links to sexually explicit or violent material;
e) uses the The Home Style Directory’s banners, brand name, likeness, images, and videos, on their own websites, thus creating market and consumer confusion (which is usually referred to as copyright or trademark infringement). In short you may not present The Home Style Directory banners, images or videos as if they are your own on your own site’s or any other site’s, as it may cause a customer to opt-in thinking they are signing up to receive The Home Style Directory communications rather than your own. We firmly believe that if you wish to generate sales, it is in your best interest to establish your own identity, voice, brand and sites, and authentically promote our program(s) in your own way – without posing as its creators;
f) is, for any other reason, deemed to be unsuitable by the The Home Style Directory;
g) offers a cash incentive or discount on product(s) as a means of promotion.
h) alters any badges or advertisement images loaned to the Member for the purposes of procuring registrants.
Affiliate Partner commissions are counted and final numbers are deemed final at the sole discretion and decision of The Home Style Directory. The Home Style Directory also reserves the right to change the dates and value of any commission payout. The Home Style Directory is not responsible, nor under any circumstances will be held liable, for any technical difficulties, outside events, actions by other Affiliate Members, or other uncontrollable events that may disrupt or interfere with The Home Style Directory’s ability to track sales or pay commissions.
If the program is suspended indefinitely, any due and complete requirement passed payments owed will be paid.
Under no circumstances will The Home Style Directory be held liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, or any loss of revenue or profit that results from the Affiliate Member’s participation in this program.
Nothing on our Sites or in this agreement is a promise or guarantee of earnings. We cannot guarantee that you will get any results, or earn any money whatsoever. This is not a ‘get rich quick’ scheme.
The Affiliate Member alone is responsible for their strategies, actions and results in life and business. Any forward-looking statements outlined on our sites or in our Promotions are simply our hopes or forecasts for future potential, and thus are not guarantees or promises for actual performance. These statements are simply our opinion. Each Affiliate Member’s level of success in attaining results is dependent upon a number of factors including business savvy, marketing knowledge, dedication, network, and subscriber list. Because these factors differ so widely according to individuals, we cannot guarantee any degree of success, income level, or ability to earn revenue.
We make no guarantees that you will achieve any results from our suggestions and we offer no professional legal or financial advice.
Should an Affiliate Member be caught spamming, they will be removed from the Affiliate Program altogether and any commissions or pending commissions will be canceled and/or forfeited.
Spam is defined as emailing or posting to anyone whom you do not know and who has not requested information via email or a website. This also includes ‘spamming search engines’ and comment boxes with links using our name.
Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to create a partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, or employment relationship between The Home Style Directory and the Affiliate Member. The Affiliate Member is participating in the Affiliate Program as a fully independent entity and is responsible for any and all federal, state, local, and/or foreign income taxes and self-employment taxes, and any and all other federal, state, and local licenses, fees or taxes, or sales tax, including withholding taxes, social security taxes, and public liability and workman’s compensation insurance.
Payments
Payment of any service to us from any user or visitor is deemed as formal approval for the work stated to commence.
PR Services
You understand the none of our actions constitutes either a partnership with a Member or the role of employer to employee.
Our role is to act as intermediary between the Member and the media or media representative to secure you one or more promotional opportunities.
Whilst we endeavour to find great opportunities for all our Members, the Member understands that where they have not paid for this service they are as such are not ‘owed’ anything.
We cannot be held responsible for any missed opportunities that are handed to another member after a lack of timely response.
Great care will be taken by us and our partners to make sure that Members are happy with their treatment and the way their story is handled. Members understand that they are under no obligation to enter any agreement or tell their story if they do not wish to.
Law And Jurisdiction
This disclaimer notice and Terms And Conditions shall be interpreted and governed by British law, and any disputes in relation to it are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in The United Kingdom.
Variations
