She creates distressed furniture with the most beautiful patinas from her selected choice of hues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;I am attracted to objects which are weathered and show signs of wear and tear, erosion and history. I try to emulate weathering and the beauty of decay in my work by using paper, plaster, canvas which I tear, scorch, layer and pin, creating rough edges and depth of texture.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She was visually inspired by a childhood spent in Bahrain where most things would crack and weather under the sun&#8217;s glare. Ms Bedford is also an artist whose tactile work can be seen on her website along with her furniture.
