Frankie<\/strong> was a gooorgeous<\/em> little dachshund who sadly passed away in June 2012. She was a wheelchair bound dog and her little life was filled with making people aware of wheelchair doggies and opening the eyes of children with disabilities about possibilities<\/em>. You can see a little homage to Frankie on the wall below.<\/p>\n

Which brings us neatly to this tiny house owned by Frankie’s owner Ms Barbra Techel.<\/strong> Ms Techel, who has written a number of books, uses this splendid little house for writing and has a bigger one just behind it.<\/p>\n

Once her tiny 12 x 10 ft studio was built in under a month by her husband, she found that she actually started embracing the idea of potentially living fully in a tiny space such as this one.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always loved small spaces. In fact, quite a few years ago we thought about building a bigger house and it just didn\u2019t feel right to me. I love how cozy small spaces feel. I feel that big homes and open spaces are somewhat cold. Not all, but most. Also as I learn more about tiny house living I love how you can be so useful of space. I also love the idea of taking up less room in the world and not being so wasteful.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Which seems to be a driving force of most people wanting to live in a smaller dwelling.<\/p>\n

Barbara has written a book called “Through Frankie\u2019s Eyes: One Woman\u2019s Journey to Her Authentic Self and the Dog on Wheels Who Led the Way”<\/em><\/strong> to encourage folks to live with authenticity and passion and celebrate the human animal bond.<\/p>\n
