Classic British hallway. 1930’s (or thereabouts<\/em>) home with the decorative cornices just peeking down from above. The painted black floorboards are beautiful and dance nicely with the whitewashed and blackwashed walls. I’m not sure about painting the banisters black and<\/em> white…the jury’s out on that one…no, the jury’s come back in. Don’t love it.<\/p>\n

One word. FRESH<\/strong>. The large white floor tiles (get me my smelling salts!<\/em>) gorgeous. The whole thing is very neat, very ordered (check out the two sets of picture frames!) This hallway makes you want to sneak up those stairs and see more delicious home styling freshness and style choices. That indented shelf is divine and the perfect flower arrangement and vase has been chosen for it. Of course the colour palettes of white and tan are what brings the fresh feel, but it is also the stylish opaque doors. Great choice.<\/p>\n

I know there are people, (mainly women) who are addicted to pink. This is a find for those dear ladies. I’m surprised to say I quite like this hallway, although not enough to live in it. It has great character, personality and purpose. The pink pattern wallpaper is quite a find.<\/p>\n

Another very British hallway. This particular one being ghost white and minimalist. Great use of space with the bike stand. Love it when utilitarian home accessories also serve as rather cool art pieces. Check out the Cycloc,<\/a><\/strong> a wall mounted bike stand I have been humming about for some time. I like the ghost-white bare stairs – but what a racket they must make!<\/p>\n
